Oct. 8th, 2009 06:30 pmBefore I start on the excessively spoiler-filled section of this essay, I want to express that if you are a fan of the Kingdom Hearts series, you should get this game. It doesn’t feel like a retcon in any way after you finish it. In many ways, the storytelling is very well-done, and I feel that if you play this game, you won’t come away displeased with what you just played. It is my favorite of the series, but I am also incredibly biased toward anything with Roxas in it, so take that with a grain of salt. If you were seeking more on the Organization members not in CoM, this is the game to get it. You won’t find tons of information on everyone, but there is definitely enough to understand their motivations.
But mostly, I just want people to play it. The gameplay is like the regular games, not CoM, and to answer a few people’s worries: Wonderland isn’t that bad.
It goes without saying that this essay has 358/2 spoilers in it. My playing of Roxas from here on out will, too, but I don’t know how much it’s going to change. I figure it’s good to have a forewarning that I won’t be warning on threads or anything, because what’s changing won’t come up, but probably keep an eye on cast threads for that.
Now, on to the essay.
( Roxas with 358/2 stuff added in )
